We all hope for a trouble-free journey, but should you be delayed by 2 hours or more Flight Delay Plus benefit is automatically activated* allowing you access to an airport lounge or a £30 cash benefit.
Here is how flight delay plus works:-
Before you travel
Register your policy at least 24 hours in advance of your outbound Flight departure by visiting getcoverdelayplus.com
On accessing this website, you will need to provide your email address and the policy number as found in the policy schedule of your Getcover policy
When registering, you will need to provide the following:-
- Email address and policy number as found in the policy schedule of your Getcover policy
- Preferred payment method such as a bank account number or PayPal account details
- Names of each covered person (if any), that will be travelling with you on your flight.
- Details of all separate and additional flight(s)
In the event of a two-hour delay
You will need to have access to the internet and your email inbox, or access to a mobile device capable of receiving text messages (SMS) at the telephone number you provided when you registered.
You will receive an alert sent to your email or to your mobile device by a text message (SMS). The alert will provide you with a choice of receiving an airport lounge pass / entry code which will give you access to a nearby airport lounge for the same day (subject to availability) or a compensation payment of £30. This also applies if access to an airport lounge is not available for any reason, whereupon you can receive Your payment by tapping the button 'unable to enter lounge'.
